 Piggyback advertising – is where you purchase a medium, print, television, or online and break it up into smaller segments and then sell the smaller segments at a profit. Now that you understand the concept of piggyback ads you will find it is nothing that is new or earth shaking. In fact it has been used in conventional offline advertising for a good long time. In the print media example below – Wolf Enterprises – they buy full page ads at a discount and break it up into smaller ad sizes. In the television ads example below they buy 30-second spots, for $10 and break it up into 3 10-second commercials for $10/each. They sell 2 and use 1 for their own ad.
